The newly elected Katy Area Democrats board invites your participation at our February Zoom meeting.

It inspired me to remember when my wife and I visited the Houston Museum of African American Art, https://hmaac.org/

Perhaps part of celebrating Black History month could be actively supporting African American arts and culture or small businesses in the greater Houston Area. Our HMAAC visit gave us a new perspective on the role of art and cultural identity.

At the February meeting we continue to plan to make a difference in our community and the 2022 elections, We look forward to seeing you on February 16th, 2021 at 6:45PM for social time and at 7PM when the meeting begins on Zoom.

The breakout topics this month are:

Community engagement, Katy Dems is a visible force for good in the community
Redistricting
County, state & federal elections - building Katy area momentum across 3 counties

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE WHICH BREAKOUT TO JOIN.

The breakouts will be followed by a meeting discussion focused on actions to move forward in 2021 using your input from the breakouts. In 2022, we will have to work to keep both Fort Bend County Judge KP George and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo in office. Simultaneously, we will also have to work to elect more Democrats at the local, state and federal level. Each month we will strive to better prepare for that task.

Remember in 2022 the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General are on the ticket.
